Lyn was born in Dublin and spent her childhood both in England and France. Her interest in art was fostered at an early age, not only by private tuition but also the encouragement of the French painter, Dunoyer de Segonzac.
Lyn completed a Foundation Course in Art at Kingston Polytechnic and gained a BA (Hons) Degree at Wimbledon School of Art in 1984. Having lived in Teddington for thirty-five years, she made the decision to relocate to Brighton in 2006.
Finding inspiration in the immediate environment as well as places she visits across England and abroad, Lyn’s practice is concentrated around landscapes, still life and house portraits. She uses a range of different materials from acrylics to oils, pen to ink.
Lyn has exhibited widely in the UK including the Royal Academy. She is a member of the Shoreham Art Gallery, Teddington Artists, Kemptown Arts Association and Adur Art Collective and her practice can be found across a number of private and corporate collections worldwide.
