Iythar Ghurab

I’m a British/Egyptian artist residing in London, I have a BA in fine arts and I’ve been working as a professional artist since 2004. I don’t like to restrict myself to a particular style of painting or medium, I believe that obstructs creativity, so I experiment with different styles; I love painting portraits and have received several commissions throughout my career. I also enjoy painting animals and inanimate objects, trying to ‘’understand’’ their untold stories too, because I believe that everything is connected and we can communicate with anything, only if we tune in to our essence and art is a great way to translate our findings.

• I participated in Sky Arts’ Portrait Artist of the Year 2018.
  
• I was fortunate enough to paint portraits for some celebrities from different countries.
• I’ve collaborated with other artists, work can be found in Dubai.
• I’ve made a few TV appearances to talk about my work as an artist throughout my career.
• My work can be found in the UK, Egypt, USA, UAE, Australia, Saudi Arabia and Canada.
