Each year, a highlight of the Fair for all visitors is the variety of Live Art Demonstrations and Artist Workshops available to help you make the most of the Fair. We are delighted to finally announce the full line-up so you can start planning your visit to Chester Arts Fair 2017, opening in less than 6 weeks.
Live Sculpting with Christine Pike Ceramics
Figurative sculptor Christine Pike will show you how she uses various hand-building techniques for sculpting in clay, putting them together to create one of her distinctive hares.
Free Flowing Abstraction with Mark Wigan
An influential pioneer of Urban Art, Mark has led live art performances in galleries around the world, drawing on his varied techniques of image and line manipulation.
Oil Sketching with Darren Stevenson
Highly acclaimed artist and sculptor Darren Stevenson will be presenting a live oil sketch, taking a semi built landscape and showcasing his technique of building up layers to add texture and depth with every stroke
Visit Kate at her stand on the 1st floor where she will be demonstrating techniques used in her paintings, incorporating ideas from nature and life and concepts of abstraction through colour, shape and form.
Watercolour Workshop with Sarah Hill
Take part in this fun and informal workshop with Sarah Hill on Sunday 19th November at 12:45.
Enjoy a loose and splashy afternoon understanding the natural movement of watercolour paints. Spaces are very limited, book yours now!
